Auto CAD Tip: How to use the TRIM function for adjusting CAD dimensions in the best possible ways?

How often have you faced a scenario where you had to adjust the CAD dimensions at a very short notice? The best way to change the dimensions is by using TRIM or EXTEND commands.
In order to trim, select and start the TRIM command first. Pick the line(s) that serves as the cutting edge. Next, choose the line(s) that crosses the selected cutting edge. Thus the edge selected gets trimmed.
Trick: “TRIM ” selects every thing in a particular drawing as cutting edges. Thus, the above mentioned steps can be done away with. However, it is important to know when to use “TRIM ” and save time.
In a similar way, you can activate and use the EXTEND command; but it is rarely used!
Trick: Do you know that TRIM functions can be used to extend any line to the nearest intersecting object?
TR
Hold SHIFT button
Merely Click on the edge of a line in order to extend it to an intersecting object.
Deleting the present dimensions and choosing to reapply takes time. Using TRIM function is immensely helpful in this regard.
